This privacy policy explains what personal information Velvet Cork collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Alcohol sales carry additional record-keeping obligations, which are described below.
What we collect
- Order information — name, delivery address, email address, and telephone number.
- Age and identity verification data — the outcome of the age check, and the details needed to evidence that a check took place. We do not receive a copy of your identity document.
- Account information — the email address and password you use to sign in, and your order history.
- Payment information — handled by our payment provider. We receive the outcome of the transaction and the last four digits of the card.
- Technical information — IP address, browser type, and pages viewed.
Why we use it
To process and deliver orders, to verify age as the law requires, to keep the records that alcohol sales require, to provide support, to prevent fraud, and to meet tax obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
Only with parties needed to fulfil an order or operate the store: the delivery carrier, the age-verification provider, the payment provider, the email service that sends order confirmations, and the hosting provider.
How long we keep it
Order and age-verification records are kept for as long as alcohol record-keeping and tax rules require. Account information is kept until you ask us to delete it.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to the records we are legally required to keep. Contact support and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
This store is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.
