Age Verification Policy

Alcohol is sold to adults only. Velvet Cork restricts every order to customers aged 21 or over who can complete an age and identity check.

21+ purchase requirement

You must be at least 21 years old to order. Age and identity are verified as part of checkout before an order is accepted, and orders that cannot be verified are cancelled and refunded in full.

Adult signature on delivery

Deliveries of alcohol require an adult signature. The person receiving the parcel must be 21 or over and may be asked to show valid government-issued photo identification. If nobody of legal age is available, the carrier will not release the parcel and it will be returned to us.

Accurate information

Providing false age or identity information is prohibited and may result in cancellation of the order, refusal of future orders, and referral to the relevant authorities.

How we verify

Verification is carried out by the operator-approved age and identity provider configured at checkout. We keep only the outcome of the check and the information needed to evidence it; we do not receive a copy of your identity document.

Not for resale

Products are sold for personal consumption. We may limit quantities per customer or per address.
