These terms govern your use of this website and any purchase of alcohol made through it.

Who we are

Velvet Cork is the customer-facing brand. The selling entity, its registered address and its alcohol licences are stated in the documentation supplied with each order and on request at [email protected].

Eligibility

You must be at least 21 years old, legally permitted to purchase alcohol in the destination state, and able to enter into a binding contract. Orders require an age and identity check and an adult signature on delivery. We may refuse or cancel any order where these cannot be completed.

Products and descriptions

Origin, ABV, and volume are listed on each product page. Vintage, label design, and packaging can change between releases and between production runs, and such variation is not a fault. Tasting notes describe style and are not medical advice.

Pricing and sales tax

Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude sales tax and any applicable alcohol excise or shipping fees until checkout. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before payment. We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order already accepted.

Order acceptance

An order is accepted when we dispatch it, after payment authorisation, age verification, state eligibility, and stock checks. If we cancel, any authorisation is released and any captured amount is refunded in full.

Shipping and delivery

We ship only to states where we are permitted to deliver alcohol. Every delivery requires an adult signature from a person aged 21 or over. Risk passes to you on delivery. Delivery estimates are estimates and are not a guarantee of a delivery date.

Quantity limits

Some states limit the volume of alcohol that may be delivered to a customer or household in a period. Where a limit applies we may reduce or cancel part of an order and refund the difference.

Warranty

We warrant that bottles are genuine, correctly described, and fit for ordinary consumption when delivered. This warranty does not cover normal variation in vintage or packaging, or damage caused after delivery. Where a fault is confirmed we will replace the bottle or refund it in full.

Returns

Returns are governed by the Returns & Refunds policy, which forms part of these terms and is limited by the alcohol returns rules of the destination state.

Privacy

How we collect and use personal information, including age-verification records, is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Intellectual property

The content of this site, including photography and text, belongs to us and may not be reproduced commercially without permission.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Governing law

The law that applies to these terms, and the courts that hear any dispute, must be confirmed by the operator before launch.
