Shipping Policy

Velvet Cork ships within the United States only. Direct-to-consumer alcohol delivery is regulated state by state, so we deliver only to states where we are permitted to sell.

Processing

Orders placed before 2pm ET on a business day are picked the same day where stock allows; otherwise they are picked on the next business day. Orders containing age-restricted items are not released until the age and identity check has passed.

Shipping and transit

Transit is typically 3–5 business days within the contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories take longer and may not be serviceable for alcohol. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees.

Cost

A flat shipping charge of $15 applies to orders under $200. Orders of $200 and above ship free. The exact charge is shown at checkout before payment.

Adult signature required

Every alcohol delivery must be signed for by a person aged 21 or over, who may be asked for photo identification. Carriers will not leave a parcel unattended and will not deliver to a PO Box.

Tracking and failed delivery

A tracking number is emailed when the parcel leaves us. If a delivery cannot be completed because the recipient cannot prove their age, or because nobody of legal age is available, the parcel is returned to us. In that case we refund the product value and may retain the delivery charge.

Breakages

Glass can break in transit. Report a damaged parcel within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the packaging and the contents, and we will replace the bottle or refund it.
